ASPIRING PUBLIC RELATIONS PROFESSIONAL
!Hola!
I am an aspiring public relations professional pursuing a minor in political science.
I grew up surrounded by my Mexican culture. My culture and its uniqueness have steered me to the field of public relations because I want to become a representative of my community and blaze a trail.

Throughout my academic journey at the University of Georgia, some relevant experiences I’ve had in the field involve organizing a social media content creation strategy for a national nonprofit organization. I am able to create content for Mi Familia Vota Georgia that is accessible in English and Spanish to inform Latino communities about civic engagement.
Additionally, I serve as the Communications Chair for First-Gen Dawgs here at UGA. Through this position, I connect the organization to the community and help spread awareness of the first-generation student struggle. I was able to successfully organize a social media campaign that brought in donations, support, and networking opportunities for first-generation students through a friendly indoor soccer tournament. Some of my work can be found here.
I am passionate about learning, and I look forward to gaining more experience in the field. So far in my course work, I have learned about public affairs communications strategies, writing for different platforms, and content creation.
I love meeting new people and connecting! Please feel free to reach out or connect on LinkedIn.
